Hanover Sired Sophomores take 3 of 5 $30,000 divisions in PA All-Stars at Pocono
Beach Club Monty (Papi Rob Hanover) p,3,1:51.2f scored his second win of 2025, routing a first over move past the ¾, and taking the wire first by a head over Captaintreacherous sired Shipmaster. Seaworthy Hanover (Captaintreacherous-Shortstory Hanover) was 3rd. Beach Club Monty shows $70,187 lifetime earnings and a record of 1:50.2 taken in his first pari-mutuel start at The Meadowlands on May 3rd. Brett Pelling trains for South Merrick Stables and Andrew Berg with Scott Zeron on the lines.
Makes Sense (Papi Rob Hanover) p,3,1:51.4f from post 6 Andrew McCarthy guided the Robert Cleary pupil 5th biding his time to unleash a 27.1 final panel taking the win by a length over Bulldozer (Tall Dark Stranger) and Dreamboat Hanover (Papi Rob Hanover-Dagnabit Hanover), who had cut most of the mile. Makes Sense earned a new lifetime record for Let It Ride Stables Inc., Robert Cleary and Carl Howard with $49,932 to date.
Snack Attack (Stay Hungry) p,3,1:51.1f sat pocketed 3rd with Jason Bartlett in the bike for trainer Joe Bongiorno then made his move in the stretch drive with a 27.2 last quarter to claim the win for Philip Steinberg, Joe Sbrocco and JAF Racing LLC. Papi Rob Hanover sired Papi’s Rocket was 2nd after leading the mile and Delray Beach (by Tall Dark Stranger) was 3rd. Snack Attack scored a new lifetime mark with the win and shows $54,647 on his card.

Greenshoe Sired Big Shoes became the Season’s Leader for 3YO Trotting Colts and Geldings scoring a 1:52.4f mile in his $52,532 division for trainer Ron Burke and driver Ronnie Wrenn Jr. making a bold first over bid 4th past the ¾ pole with a strong 27.4 final fraction to overtake race leader Meshuggah (Greenshoe-Starita) by 1-1/2 lengths at the wire. Arrowhead Hanover (International Moni-Aarena Hanover) was 3rd. Big Shoes shows $175,090 lifetime with 5 career wins thus far. Carrie Norris and Max Hempt own the talented trotter who shows 4 lifetime wins and $83,690 banked.

Bar Hopping Sired Colts Claim all four PA Stallion Series Divisions
Aperol Hanover (Bar Hopping-Anonyme Hanover) t,3,1:56.1f tied his lifetime mark in 2nd trip to the winners circle this season at The Meadows for team Zendt. From post 6 Aperol led all fractions winning handily by 1-1/4 length over International Moni sired Manhattan Moni. Owned by William Zendt, Gary Saul, and Barbara McAllister, Aperol Hanoverhas earned $33,088 to date with 3 career wins all piloted by Brian Zendt.
Hanover Shoe Farms will sell an International Moni colt from Anonyme Hanover at Harrisburg this fall.
Messenger Hanover (Bar Hopping-Musetta Hanover) t,3,156.2f First sophomore win for the gray colt trained by Ron Burke and driven by Ronnie Wren Jr. for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC, Beasty LLC, James Simpson and J&T Silva-Purnel & Libby. Making his bid early 2nd past the ¼ first over and claiming control of the top, Messenger never looked back opening up by 2-1/2 lengths across the wire. Abraham Hanover(Greenshoe-A Gift For You) was 2nd and International Moni sired Webflow finished 3rd.
Musetta Hanover will offer a Captain Corey yearling colt at Harrisburg this November.
Hanolulu Hanover (Bar Hopping-Holtby Hanover) t,3,1:55.4f took the fastest division of the TSS by a head over Greenshoe sired Lefties Righties for Burke Racing Stable LLC, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, William Switala and James Martin. Mike Wilder wielded the win taking the first ¼ in passing gear (28.3) and maintaining the lead through the remaining fractions. It was the colt’s first win at 3 with $25,150 on his card.

Gimlet Hanover (Bar Hopping-Ginger Tree Bren) t,3,1:56.4f scored a wire to wire win from post 5 guided by Andy Miller for D R Ackerman. I’ll Have A Double also sired by Bar Hopping was 2nd by ¾ length and Lionheart Hanover(Greenshoe-Lady Riviera) was 3rd. Gimlet shows 4 lifetime wins with $61,312 on his card.
