Prince Hal Hanover (Captaintreacherous-Percy Bluechip) 3YOCP p,1:50.1h Todd McCarthy piloted the mile taking no prisoners. Leaving from post 2, Prince Hal claimed the lead, briefly overtaken by Swingtown to a hot 25.4 opening fraction, before reclaiming the top setting off the half mile timer at 54.3. McCarthy took the ¾ in 1:22.4 and cleared the finish handily in 1:50.1 by 1-3/4 lengths for trainer Ian Moore and Prince Hal Hanover Stable. The sophomore has 4 victories in 2025 including the $385,000 Adios (1:48.1- career best record), $58,765 Somebeachsomewhere (1:49.4) and $40,322 PASS division at Pocono (1:49.3). While unfortunately disqualified from his win in the Meadowlands Pace due to a driving infraction, Prince Hal continues to show he’s the real deal with $581,633 banked thus far in 2025 and $868,954 lifetime.
